Chapter President

A prominent leader in education serving Greenwich, CT,  she is the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging and the Director of Personal Growth. Kamele previously dedicated 20 years of service in the New York City Public Schools. Beyond her field of expertise, she’s a proud charter member of the 145th link of NSPDK, Inc., serving as Zeta Eta’s President, and the former Second Vice-President. Her dedication to education, leadership, and community empowerment continues to make a lasting impact.

An inspiring leader in Post Secondary Education with over 20 years of service with SUNY Rockland Community College. She is the Director of Accessibility Services, her service and dedication earned her the SUNY Chancellor Award for Excellence in Professional Service.

She’s a proud charter member of the 145th link of NSPDK, Inc., serving as Zeta Eta’s Second Vice-President, upholding the ideal of being a willing worker she has served as Parliamentarian, Retreat Chair, and Dean of Pledgees to the Alpha Class: Educ8tors of Impact. Her dedication to service and community empowerment continues to make a lasting impact.

Recording Secretary

A UFT Teacher Center Instructional Specialist, Coach, Mentor, ELA Liaison, and ELL Trainer with the New York Department of Education. She supports instructional change, school-wide development, and builds capacity by strengthening pedagogical practices while facilitating comprehensive professional learning opportunities. Beyond her various roles, she’s a proud charter member of the 145th link of NSPDK, Inc., serves as Zeta Eta’s Recording Secretary and the Education/Literacy Committee chair. Her dedication to education and community empowerment  continues to make a lasting impact.

Corresponding Secretary

An inspiring leader in Special Education serving the New York City Department of Education. She is a passionate Middle School Teacher, currently teaching 8th grade English and Science in an ICT and 12:1:1 setting. She shares her knowledge and expertise as a New Teacher Mentor. She proudly serves as Zeta Eta’s Corresponding Secretary. Her dedication to special education and community empowerment continues to make a lasting impact.

Executive Director of School Support & Operations with 27 years of service in Queens, NY. Beyond her executive leadership role, she serves as Zeta Eta’s Audit Chair. Her dedication to education, operations, and community empowerment continues to make a lasting impact.

Antoinette Jordan
Financial Secretary

An inspiring leader in Early Childhood Education with over 23 years of service with the New York City Department of Education. She is a passionate Kindergarten Teacher in the Bronx and an Adjunct Professor at SUNY Rockland Community College for the past 5 years. Beyond the classroom, she’s a proud charter member of the 145th link of NSPDK, Inc., serving as Zeta Eta’s Director of Public Relations Chair, Co-Chair of the Nutrition, Health & Hypertension Committee, and the former Recording Secretary. Her dedication to education, health, and community empowerment continues to make a lasting impact.

Sonya Wingate-Simmons
Dean of Pledgees

A prominent leader in education with 30 years of service with the New York City Department of Education and the Mount Vernon School District. She is a dedicated Assistant Principal at Denzel Washington School of the Arts. Beyond her administrative role, she’s a proud charter member of the 145th link of NSPDK, Inc., serving as Zeta Eta’s Dean of Pledgees, Chair of the Scholarship Luncheon, Chair of Youth Groups, and former Financial Secretary. Her dedication to education, youth, and community empowerment continues to make a lasting impact.
